Frank H. Andres Obituary (Age 87) Frank H. Andres of Spokane died at 9:15 pm on Friday, September 13, 2013 at home. He was born on December 31, 1925 in Salem, OH. Frank was a loving husband to Joyce for 31 years. He is also survived by his brother, Walter of AZ; two daughters, Laurie of Buena Park, CA and Pam of Spokane; grandchildren Brenna and Camyn of Spokane, Keri of OR, Kaci of Seattle, and Kevin and Ivy of CA; two great-grandchildren Travis and Hallie of OR. Frank was a proud Marine, serving in the Pacific during WWII. He was an expert in precious minerals and gems and spent his life in scientific research. He worked on the team that invented the laser at Hughes Research Lab in Malibu, CA. He loved gardening and never stopped learning. He encouraged others to be curious about the world around them. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9706 N Division St, Spokane, WA 99218. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
