March 25, 1926 - November 26, 2014

Frank Jr. O'Malley Obituary (Age 88) Our grandpa, husband, father, brother, best friend and an all-around AMAZING man, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 26th at 10:17am with his family at his side. Frank O'Malley Jr., a hardworking, life-loving husband for 70 years, was born in Great Falls, Montana on March 25, 1926. He spent the majority of his life in the Spokane area. Frank attended Lewis and Clark High School, where he met the love of his life (literally his entire life) Ruth McQuarry-O'Malley. Frank was drafted out of High School straight into the Army during WWII. He retired as a traveling auto parts salesman and loved talking about the people he met and provided service to throughout the Pacific Northwest. He loved the outdoors. Frank was an avid fisherman, hunter and even at one time a skeet shooting champion. Frank loved hunting with his best friend Dusty, a Springer Spaniel that loved hunting so much that often Frank would get his limit of pheasant without even firing a shot! He was a kind, gentle and meticulous man who will be sorely missed. Our ROCK and moral compass decided that it was time to exit this life in exchange for eternal life. It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye but take solace in knowing that he is no longer in need of assistance to take care of himself. At this moment he is in his boat, casting his fishing rod and taking in the scenery around him.....probably drinking a coke as well! Grandpa, may you catch your limit every day!! Preceded in death by his mother Lettie O'Malley and father Frank O'Malley Sr. He is survived by his wife Ruth O'Malley; brother Don O'Malley; sister Betty Paul; daughter and son-in-law Terri and Maurice Poole; grandson Mike and Carrie Loomis (children Camryn, Ryenn and AJ); granddaughter Ronda and Jeff Petruso (children Karli and Cyler); along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral service is being held to honor Frank at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 1111 South Thor, Spokane, WA.
