Frank T. Smith Obituary
Frank T. Smith, Age 65, passed into eternal peace on December 30th at Holy Family Hospital. He bravely faced many major medical challenges with courage and grace. He was raised in Tacoma and West Seattle. At the age of 10, he was encouraged to help in his grandparent?s restaurant where he fell in love with the culinary arts. After graduating from the high school/trade school he attended, he entered into Edison Trade School, now known as South Seattle Community College to train in the culinary trade. He enlisted into the Navy after graduation and completed his tour including one year in Vietnam as a cook. After being honorably discharged, he landed his dream job as a cook/baker on the NOAA Research Vessels. He retired early on a medical retirement after 25 years of service. He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Christine, their daughter, Leanna Marie, his brother, Randy of Snohomish and his daughter, Brianne, U.S. Navy, his Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Andy and their extended families of Puyallup, his brother-in-law Rex and their extended family of Orting. A gathering in celebration of Frank?s life will be held at the Davenport Hotel in the State Suite from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, January 29th. Frank?s remains will be inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery. The Lord was Frank?s life and his strength.
