Frank Thompson 93, of Spokane, WA, passed away on May 16, 2025. Frank was born on 8/1/31 in Spokane, WA. and adopted by a caring and loving couple, Carrie and Frank Sr. He graduated from North Central High School in 1949 and attended EWU for 1 year. At that time he was drafted into the military and stationed in Alaska, for 2 years. After being discharged, he accepted a position with Standard Stations. Following that, was offered a marketing position with Standard Oil Corporate. He traveled extensively training Chevron dealers throughout the Pacific Northwest. In November of 1973 Frank resigned from Standard Oil, moved back to his hometown of Spokane, and took the next step in his career and went into business for himself by buying the Chevron Station at 3rd and Monroe.
Frank married Marilu in 1956 and the couple had 2 children together. Frank was a member of the Chevron Dealers Association, Spokane Executives Association, and the Spokane Yacht Club.
Frank enjoyed cars, boating, traveling, family vacations and winters in Arizona. His friends and family will always remember him as a generous and kind person, as well as a great business man and an asset to the community.
Frank is survived by his wife Marilu, of 69 years, his daughter Susan, son Scott, Grandchildren Kim, Kyle (Jessica), Sam and great grandson Tanner, of whom he was very proud.
Outdoor Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:30 pm on 5/29/2025 at Greenwood Cemetary with a reception at Heritage Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank’s life!
