May 06, 1948 - April 21, 2022

Fred Overmyer Obituary It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Fred J. Overmyer, age 73. Surrounded by love he was brought home to Heaven on April 21, 2022 after a brief battle with a glioblastoma, a fast-growing cancerous tumor of the brain. Fred was born on May 6, 1948 to Jim and Lorraine Overmyer in Spokane, WA. He spent his early childhood in Spokane before the family moved first to Portland, OR and then to Vancouver WA, where he graduated from Hudson Bay High School in 1966. After attending Clark College Fred joined the Air Force in 1969 and was stationed at Fairchild in Spokane. There he met and married the love of his life Karlie Wagoner on Nov. 21, 1973. They made their home in Colbert, WA and raised two girls in the house Fred built with his dad. Fred worked in accounting until retiring in 2013. He spent his time in retirement with a large circle of loving friends. Offered a helping hand to any of them in need. He watched the Zags play with passion and enthusiasm. He traveled to most corners of the world and enjoyed the views close to home at the lake. We will miss fishing and golfing with Fred and his catchy phrases and sayings. He also had a large following of canine friends that loved him and his pockets full of treats. Fred is survived by his wife Karlie, daughters Karie (Axel) Godron and Kim (Nancy) Mackleit, sisters Willene (Marq) Bautista, Lorna (Jerry) Crooks and his three grandchildren Viviana, Owen and Sam who will all miss their Opi very much. A celebration of his life is planned for August. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Fred, please visit our Tree Store
