Gail Ross Cogdill Obituary (Age 79) Passed away October 20, 2016 at his home with his family around him. He was born April 7, 1937 in Worland, WY to Robert Lee and Marjorie (Swanson) Cogdill. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and he received a scholarship to WSU where he played football and was drafted in 1960 by the Detroit Lions. He played for 8 years, the last 2 with the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Colts as a wide receiver. He was in sales after his football career. His passion was the outdoors, animals and his love for children. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Gridiron Greats and was a fundraiser for Providence Childrens Hospital in Portland, OR for 28 years. Gail is survived by his wife Dian; daughter Austin; son Gary; daughter from his first marriage Kristen Dunlap (Michael); son Eric; daughter Caroline; granddaughter Devin Mooney (Austin) and great-grandsons Noah and Josiah. Memorial Service 1PM Tuesday November 15, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Gridiron Greats.
