May 27, 1960 - August 11, 2017
Gale Duane Hart Obituary Gale Duane Hart, 57 a native of Spokane, WA kicked the bucket suddenly (his words not ours) at his home on 11 August 2017. Gale was born on 27 May 1960 in Spokane as the only child to Carroll J. Mick Hart and Jeannette DeChenne. In 1980, when Gale was 20, his father Mick wed Mary, thus adding his brothers and sister, Jeff, Greg, Lisa, and David. In 1979, Gale graduated from Central Valley High School. Gale had a passion for his grandkids; Kaine (Little Man), Brianna (Poopsie) and Mikhail (Oglethorpe). He was also the father to countless foster children that he opened his home and heart to. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He worked for Avis rent-a-car for 30 years, then moved onto officiating basketball and umpiring softball games which was a great passion of his. He was known for creating nicknames for everyone rather than using their given names. His nieces and nephews will always remember that about him as well as his unique sayings. Gale always hoped everyone was finer than frogs hair! Gale was known to be a man of colorful words who would take you on wonderful outings such as shopping adventures never leaving any minute of any journey a dull moment. Gale was preceded in death by his father Mick, and Mary Hart, his grandmother Mary Gibson and grandfather Gale A. Gibson. He is survived by his mother Jeannette DeChenne (Grandma Nut), his children, Christopher Hart Spike and his wife Heather Heather Baby and his daughter, Katie Hart Tiny Brat, as well as Justin (Smiley Monster) Villarreal, his grandchildren, Kaine, Brianna and Mikhail, his brothers Jeff, Greg, David and sister Lisa, as well as countless nieces and nephews and their children. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00am at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
