Gary Ray Brister Obituary (Age 62) Went to be with our Lord Jesus on Thursday February 11, 2016 in his home surrounded by family in Spokane Washington. He was born on Oct. 26, 1953 in Tacoma, WA to Samuel and Louise Brister. He graduated from Washington State University, and soon afterwards he worked all along the west coast until he met the love of his life and best friend, who later became his wife Gail Marie Roderick. They lived in Tacoma where they were blessed with 3 children. Life then sent then across the United States to live in New Jersey for 10 years, where the Lord continued to bless them with many friends, adventures and memories. In 2005 they moved back to Spokane Washington to be closer to family. Gary was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and golfing along with collecting comic books, reading, cooking and being an active member in every church the family attended. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Louise Brister, and is survived by his two older brothers and their families Ron and Linda Brister, Mike and La June Brister, His loving wife Gail Brister, three children Cody, Nicholas and Samantha Brister, two loving and crazy dogs Blue and Tony, and more friends than can possibly be listed. Memorial service to be held at Turning Point Church, 11911 N Division St, Spokane, WA at 1pm on Saturday Feb 20th. Memorial donations can be sent to the I-Choice clinic of Life Services. Gary Brister was an amazing son, brother, husband, father and friend to many and he will be missed.
