Geneva Morrow Goldizen Frasher Obituary Geneva Morrow Goldizen Frasher was born at home in Kalispell, Montana, on August 18, 1921, and lived there for 25 years before moving to Spokane, Washington. She was the only child of (Thomas) Claire and Mildred Nina Goldizen. Shortly after her birth, an uncle affectionately called her a doll resulting in her nickname, Dolly. While attending Flathead High School, Geneva went to a Valentines Day dance and met a handsome young man, Lynn H. Frasher. After graduating, her dad, Claire, walked her down the aisle as the New Years bells were ringing on December 31, 1940, and she became Mrs. Lynn Frasher shortly after midnight on January 1, 1941, carrying on a New Years Day wedding tradition by her parents and grandparents. Geneva was made of angel dust, the embodiment of love personified. Her greatest wish was to share her love by being a mother. Her wish was granted and she and Lynn had three children, a boy and two girls. Never stingy with the words, I love you, she generously sprinkled her angel dust on them every chance she got. Genevas warm smile welcomed everyone who came to her door and sent them on their way with a hug and wave goodbye. Her four-legged friends, especially Freddy, the Yorkshire terrier, always found a comfy, safe haven on her lap. Geneva was an excellent bookkeeper and legal secretary until she retired. After Lynn retired, they drove a pick-up with a camper up the Alcan Highway to Fairbanks, Alaska, twice, accompanied by Freddy who rode atop the ice chest situated between them in the front seat. With a keen interest in genealogy, Geneva found relatives in England and Australia, traveled there with daughter, Candace, when she was 75 and 84 years old respectively, and spread her hugs and angel dust on them all. Geneva lived in the same pretty yellow house on the corner for 65 years. She loved her flower garden, awash in color with purple and yellow irises, pink petunias, purple flax, and had a special fondness for her three brilliant pink peonies planted side by side for dramatic effect. Never one to have idle hands, Geneva found delight in doing counted cross stitch making sure her love was embedded in each and every stitch. She carefully chose and gave a finished piece to each family member who came to her 90th birthday party which was well attended. With all of Genevas accomplishments, she will be remembered most for her keen memory and her ability to tell stories. Theres the one about the taxi driver in London who took her just a few blocks and was paid well for the effort, the tiny ceramic vase she heisted on the Alaskan cruise, and countless fascinating family stories she told with flair and 5 star ratings for entertainment. Geneva always saw the good in everyone and every situation no matter how dire. She was under Hospice care for the last three years of her life and never complained, always saying she felt just fine. Her family was reassured by her loving Hospice nurse, Christine, that she actually was in remarkably good health aside from a heart condition that persisted and finally took her in the end. Geneva passed away at Hospice House South five hours after being admitted in the arms of her daughter, Candace, on November 27, 2018. Geneva is survived by her children Thomas Claire (Shannon) Frasher, Candace Ann Frasher, Lynn Nina (Rick) Becker, grand-children Cassandra (Mark) Melnick, Thomas (Kellie) Frasher Jr., Nathan (Nichole) Becker, Ricky (Sarah) Becker, Katie (Taylor Craigmiles) Becker, and 8 great-grandchildren. At Genevas request, no memorial service will be held. Family and friends will gather in the spring to place Genevas ashes beside her husband, Lynns, at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane.
