Genevieve M. Long Obituary Genevieve M. Long (age 82) passed away August 12, 2013 in Spokane, WA. She was married to Raymond Long who preceded her in death in August 2010. They made their home in Kennewick where they lived and worked for GTE and eventually retired. They enjoyed many years in their home in Kennewick before Genny recently moved to Spokane to be closer to her daughter and "favorite" son-in-law. Genny enjoyed life and being with her family. Nothing made her happier than to have everyone over; laughing and having lots of food. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, puzzles, and her game and court shows on TV. Genny is survived by her son, Michael Long, of Chehalis, WA; her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ron Sweatte of Spokane, WA; granddaughters, Nikki Cannella of Lacey, WA, Becky Hendee of Richland, WA; and great granddaughter, Julie Cannella. Genny was originally from Port Angeles, WA where she grew up with five sisters and one brother. At Genny's request, there will be no memorial service. She will be inurned with her husband, Raymond Long at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane. We will all miss her dearly and she will forever live in our hearts.
