George Edmund Groth Obituary (Age 88) On Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 George Edmund Groth went to Heaven. George was born March 2, 1929 on the family farm to Arthur and Alice Groth in Ogema, MN. He attended rural school and the local high school. He married Charlotte Haverkamp on July 5, 1952. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He moved his family to Spokane in 1966 and retired from Kaiser Mead in 1991. He enjoyed farming, camping, fishing and hunting. Jesus and his family was the most important part of Georges life. He loved his children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren very much. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children, Jacqueline (Todd) Zimprich, Timothy (Linda) Groth, William Groth, Gerald (Gail) Groth, Connie (Ken) OBrien; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Harrington and Patricia Smeback; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and daughter-in-law, Cheryl. Viewing will be held Nov. 10th from 10am - 5pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Nov. 11th at 11am at Pilgrim Lutheran Church West 2733 Northwest Blvd. Spokane, WA. Memorial contributions can be made in Georges name to Hospice of Spokane 121 S.
