George H. Walter Obituary (Age 79) George was born December 20, 1930 in Spokane to Delano and Fern (Hilby) Walter. He passed away July 15, 2010 at his home in Spokane. George grew up in the Spokane area, living the last 36 years at his farm in Valleyford, WA. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and anything to do with water sports. George's hobbies included a good game of poker, writing his infamous poems, reading, singing at the top of his voice and loving life to its fullest. He adored his wife Val and was loved by his children. George is survived by his wife Vallerie D. Walter; sisters Donna Jenkins, Wanita Brady, and Janice Evans; brother Jerry Walter; children Georgette (Tom) Grainger, Cindy (Jim) Manion, Chris (Joanna) Walter and Penny Walter; grandchildren Eric Grainger, Jayson Grainger, J.D. Walter, Nicole Walter, Garett Manion and Sean Manion; great-grandchildren Madison Manion, Jimmy and Ruth Grainger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 20 at Sunset Chapel located inside Fairmount Memorial Park.
