George Sylvan Foss Obituary George Sylvan Foss, age 95, passed away on February 5, 2019. He was born July 1, 1923 to John and Thora Foss of Hazel Run, Minnesota. George enlisted in the United States Army during World War II and served as a Medical Technician. He was honorably discharged from service on November 21, 1946. George then moved to Spokane where he worked in a meat packing plant and also worked for Kaiser Mead. He spent the rest of his working years ad a barber. George married his wife, Ruth (Finch) Foss on September 20, 1957. They made their home in Spokane Washington and raised three children (Pam, Larry, and Timothy). George is survived by his wife, Ruth, his two sons, Larry (Lavelle) and Timothy (Carolyn), nine grandchildren; Landon, Lance, Levi, Kelsey, Zachary, Ian, Christopher, Andrew, and Wil, and seven great grandchildren. George is preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Kay Robyn, his parents and eleven brothers and sisters. � To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of George, please visit our Tree Store.
