Jerry Obituary Geraldine �Jerry� Carrol Cook Bade, 84 of Spokane Valley, WA passed away in Pine Ridge Memory Care, Spokane Valley on Friday, February 17, 2023. Geraldine was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 11, 1939 to Mattie Mae Koontz and Roy Walter Cook. Jerry grew up in Oklahoma City. She graduated valedictorian from Capitol Hill High School in 1957. In 1958, she moved to Oregon. She married Loren Bade on September 20, 1958 in Walla Walla, Washington. They lived throughout the Northwest�Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. They moved to Spokane Valley in January of 1982. Jerry was a stay-at-home mom until 1979. She worked as secretary until 1984. Jerry was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different positions, but her favorite was working with little children. She enjoyed reading, quilting and embroidery. Jerry is survived by her son, Darrell Turnbull and his three children: Mandy (Tony) Hansen, Misty (Lonnie) Griggs, and Josh (Elissa) Maxfield; her son Alan (Janice) Bade and their four children: Justin (Lisa) Bade, Brandi (Ben) Garza, Nicholas (Jeremy) Bade, and Jeremy (Summer) Bade; her daughter - Ronda (John) Willis; her daughter - Dawn (Perry) Wiser and their four children: David, Rachel and Perris Wiser and Ryan Danly. She has fourteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren Bade; her parents, Roy Walter and Mattie Mae Cook; and all her brothers and sisters--Merry Lou Cook, James Roy (Ann) Cook, Guy Cook, Clyde Charles Cook, Katherine (Carl) Bade, Geneva Cook, Virgie (Robert) Owen, Margie (Glenn) Lewis, Jack (Gail) Cook and Cecilia (Tom) Sexton. Jerry was a devoted wife and a terrific mother. She took great care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She always had a welcoming smile and was willing to help, whenever she could. We will miss her, but know we will see her again�whole, well and happy. Memorial services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 14111 East 16th Avenue, Veradale, WA 99037 on February 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. No viewing.
