Geraldine "Gerry" Godley passed away on August 30, 2025, in Spokane, WA, at the age of 90. Born on September 4, 1934, Gerry spent her entire life in the area she grew up and loved. Gerry is survived by her sons, David (Sandy), Greg (Wendy), and Jeff (Renee) Godley; sisters, Lorene Nilles and Jackie (Steve) Kutz; brother-in-law, Ed Brommer; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Godley; parents, Otto and Marian Remmers; sister, Marianne Brommer; brother in law Shorty Nilles and her Yorkie JC.

A woman of wit, humor, and a touch of sass, Gerry was cherished for her engaging personality and not afraid to speak her mind. After John's passing, she found companionship in her Yorkie, JC, who became her inseparable sidekick for over 17 years; Gerry's home was a testament to her skills as a homemaker, showcasing her gardens filled with vibrant flowers and vegetables, all nurtured by her hands. Her cooking skills, sewing, quilting, and crafts were just a few of the talents that she also shared generously. Gerry and John enjoyed traveling the coasts of Washington and Oregon, clamming, walking the beaches, and collecting nature's treasures.

A gravesite burial will be held on October 2, 2025, from 2:30-3:30 pm at the Fairmount Cemetery. A celebration of Gerry's life will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home, located at 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
