Geraldine Knudson Obituary (Age 92) Passed away October 27, 2010 in Spokane, WA. She was born on October 17, 1918 in Hettinger, North Dakota to Charles & Clara Johnston. Geraldine graduated in the class of 1936 and married Edward Jacob Knudson on July 3, 1940 in Laurel, Montana. The family moved to Spokane in 1960 where Geraldine completed her LPN Certification, which she was very proud of and renewed until 2009. She was a lover of good music, especially Big Band and Jazz. She also enjoyed boating and water skiing. But caring for her loved ones and preparing good nutritional meals was the joy of her life. Geraldine was a member of the Eagle?s Auxillary, Spokane Jazz Fan, Spokane 1st Nazarene Church, Hillyard Senior Center, and Hillyard Belles Trainmen & Show Band. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, sister Laura Mae Holty; brothers Laverne, Kenneth, Freedell, Ivor, Forrest & Julius; grandson Kevin Burris and granddaughter Karlyn Jo Burris. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Michael ) Sass; son Peter; grandson Kirk (Debbie) Burris; granddaughters, Betsy (Scott) Kneeshaw, and Lynn Knudson; great-grandson Christopher Brundage, and great-grandaughters Danielle Lyn, Dallas Lacy Burris and Britney Icard; great-great-grandson Lincoln Icard; special nieces Verna Anfinson, Sheila Fisher and Karen Holty Kempf and other numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30th at 1:00 PM. Please sign her guest book at www.heritagefunerals.com.
