February 18, 1919 - February 02, 2015

Glen Jorges Obituary Glen was born on February 18, 1919 in Spokane. He was raised here along with his two sisters and four brothers. His siblings have all preceded him in death. He met Christine Ungari on a blind date and they eloped on July 14, 1940. Shortly thereafter he was drafted into the Army Air Corps to fight in WWII. Stationed on Tinian Island, he flew on 35 missions in a B29 over Japan as a Central Fire Control. Among many commendations, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He returned to his beautiful wife in Spokane, and a few years later they were blessed with their first daughter, Shirley. Five years later they were again blessed with another daughter, Jan. Glen was a civil servant at Fairchild Air Force Base as a Logistics and Supply Coordinator for 30 years. Shortly after retirement he went to work at PAML as a purchasing agent. He retired from PAML after ten years. He then enjoyed 40+ years of retirement. He and Chris enjoyed traveling, dancing, golfing and of course the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved watching grow and blossom. He had a great life and he lived it well! Glen is survived by his wife of 74 years Chris; his daughters Shirley and Jan (Jerry); grandchildren: John (Marla), Michelle (Kelly), Wade (Leah) and Beth; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Sophia, Blaine and Sienna; nephews: Christopher (Barb), Rick (Susan) and nieces Carol, Lynn (Larry) and Nancy. Glen leaves behind a legacy of honor, patriotism and integrity. He is our family hero. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00AM.
