Glenn was born on December 31, 1932 in Fruitland, WA to Frank and Ruby Atkinson. He passed away in Spokane, WA on June 26, 2015. Glenn graduated from Reardan High School. He was stationed at Fort Lewis for two years while in the Army. He worked for Kopczynski Construction for several years before starting his own Atkinson Construction Company. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks on family and friends. He enjoyed being with his family, traveling, going to basketball games, hunting, fishing, photography and staying at the family cabin at Waitts Lake. Survivors include his wife Betty Jean; brother Richard (Judy); sister Iva (Carl) and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pall bearers are Frank Atkinson, Rick Atkinson, John Atkinson, Dan Stultz, Leroy Carnes, Dwayne Paul, Chuck Ralph and Ernie Brenden. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 W Government Way, Spokane, WA. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Avalon Care Center for all their kindness and care for Glenn.
