Gordon Bryan Blackman

Gordon Bryan Blackman Obituary (Age 88) Passed away peacefully on November 5, 2009 at the Spokane Veterans Administration Hospice Center. He was born May 21, 1921 in McPherson, Kansas to Jerry S. Blackman and Josephine Bryan, both preceding him in death along with his sister, Louise Blackman Lippert. Gordon was raised in Boise, Idaho and joined the U.S. Navy in August of 1942. He met and married Betty Jean Krauser January 27, 1945 in Kennewick, Washington. They moved to Spokane in 1957 where they made their home and raised their family. Gordon is survived by many who will miss him. His wife, Betty Jean; three sons and one daughter and their families: Rick and Susan Blackman, Bryan and Tonia Blackman, Tracie and Mark Johnson, Kenneth Blackman and Annie Wayne; and also many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. A private family service was held.
