Grace Ellen Marie Witter Obituary (Age 91) Grace, a lifelong resident of Spokane, passed away on October 20, 2016. She was born to Isedor and Hilda Sunden on March 15, 1925. She began attending church at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene in 1934. She also attended Northwest Nazarene College and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Nampa, ID, graduating with a Bachelors of Nursing in 1949. In 1952 Grace married Lawrence Earl Witter in Spokane where they were blessed with 5 children. They were married 39 years when Lawrence passed away in 1991. Grace spent 50 years caring for others while working as a Registered Nurse. She was a Charter Member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene and was very involved with her church. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, her brother Stanley Sunden and her sisters Dorothy E. Ackerman. She is survived by her children: Michael D. Witter, Randall E. Witter, Bryan E. Witter (Therese), Kathleen R. Fischer and Pauline M. Smith, her sister JoAnne B. Wolfe, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 1111 S. Thor St. Spokane WA 99202 on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1:00PM with interment to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
