Grettie Julia Hunter Obituary
(Age 94) Grettie Julia Hunter, of Spokane, Washington, at age 94, was taken by the angels to be with Jesus Christ her most precious Lord and Savior on July 1, 2015. There she was reunited with her loving husband, of 49 years, Woodrow G. Hunter, their son, Harry G. Hunter, and his wife, Beverly A. Hunter. Grettie was preceded in death by her mother Myrtle E. Stone, her Father Charles W. Patterson, as well as her 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Grettie is survived by her children: Hazel A. Curran of Manteca, CA, Emily E. and her husband Tom Calder of Coeur d?Alene, ID, and Julia D. and her husband Charles H. Good of Spokane, WA. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Grettie was a devoted wife and mother who loved to cook and bake. Grettie was fully involved in community. She was an avid bowler who played on many leagues. As well, Grettie devoted her life to the ministry of love. Grettie spent her life ministering to those less fortunate than her. In her earlier years, Grettie volunteered in the missions. She visited the sick in the hospitals and she also ministered to the elderly in many different nursing homes. Grettie was a member who faithfully attended Mountain View Assembly Of God.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 12:00 Noon at Sunset Chapel inside Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 W Wellesley, Spokane, WA followed by a Graveside Service. Viewing will be at 11:00am before the service.
