Guy Ernest LaRue Obituary Guy Ernest LaRue ?Ernie? Dad passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2018 at home surrounded by his family after a battle with strokes and cancer. Love, hope, faith, support from family and community helped to make life here on Earth bearable over the past several years. His life was full of people and animals who loved him dearly. He was born April 13th, 1926 to Carl and Mary LaRue. Dad was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Navy on the USS Lowry in the South Pacific. He received a Purple Heart, Unit Citation and many other awards. On August 29th, 1946 he married the love of his life for 72 years, Ruby Howe. A greater love would be difficult to imagine. They had 8 children and lived life to its fullest together on the farm on Four Mound Prairie in Nine Mile Falls. Dad is survived by many loved ones including our Mother, Ruby, his wife of 72 years. 6 children: Steve (Eva), Clifford (Brenda), Debbie, Diana (Tim), Donna, and Angela (Alan). Brothers: Bill (Lucy), Gary ( Ellie), Larry (Sue), Sister Lynda (Lawrence). He was blessed with 21 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie, daughters Sherry and Janett, Grandsons Jeff and Randy and Great Grandson Andrew. A memorial service to honor Dad will be held December 1st, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Nine Mile Falls Community Church 11223 W Charles Rd, Nine Mile Falls, WA. With a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Horizon Hospice of Spokane.
