Harry Allan Brennan Obituary
(Age 64) Harry passed away October 11, 2017 in an automobile accident in Spokane, WA. He was born September 23, 1953 to Gene and Jemima Brennan in Great Falls, MT. Over the next six years, four sisters were added to the family. As the first child and only boy, Harry was the unofficial leader of the Brennan Brats. Harry grew up in Great Falls, and in addition to the family, was surrounded by many close and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Summer family gatherings at Whitefish Lake were some of Harrys best childhood memories.
Harry graduated from Great Falls High in 1971. He went to the University of Montana in Missoula, graduating with a degree in accounting in 1979. Harry worked in finance and accounting related jobs, for several different companies throughout his career. He spent time in Montana, North Dakota and Kansas before finally moving to and settling in Spokane in 1988.
Harry married Nancy Espelin in 1983 and they had a son Bryan and daughter Kellie who were his pride and joy. Harry met Lori Graff in 2006 and they were married in 2012. They loved and adored and took great care of each other.
Harry had a gift for gab and loved to tell and share stories. He became friends with almost everyone he met. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters and their families, and several lifelong friends.
Harry is survived by his wife Lori, children Bryan (Teresa) Brennan, Kirkland, WA, Kellie (Dustin) Zahn, Twisp, WA; grandsons Owen and Henry Brennan and Hunter Zahn; his stepsons Saeed and Saud Althumali; his sisters Carol (Ross) Blair, Missoula, MT, Mary Brennan-Dutro (Don Dutro) Great Falls, MT, Mima (Michael) Scarpelli and Helen (Jon) Andrus, both of Spokane, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Jemima.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 219 E. Rockwood Blvd, Spokane, WA. A reception and gathering will be held at Manito Country Club, 5303 S. Hatch Road following the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Throughout his life, Harry was an avid sports fan. He was loyal to many teams, including the Montana Grizzlies, Washington State Cougars, Boston Celtics, Detroit Tigers, Chicago Blackhawks, Indianapolis Colts, and many other teams. His family would like to encourage you to wear a jersey or tee shirt from any of those teams, or your favorite team to his memorial service.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in Harrys name to the House of Charity, where he volunteered his time, P.O. Box 2253, Spokane, WA 99210-2253.
