Hazel Annabelle (Rosenthal) Ankley Obituary (Age 82) Passed away January 25, 2016 in Spokane. She was born May 12, 1933 in Hulbert, OK to William Newton and Flossie Mae Beatrice (Johnson) Rosenthal. She moved to Spokane in 1947 where she finished high school at Rogers. She held various job positions including but not limited to dental assistant and Quality Inspector/Auditor at Key Tronics where she retired. Hazel married Art Ankley in 1976 and raised two sons. She was a dedicated and loving mother and wife. Once her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer?s disease she stood by him and watched over his care until her death. She loved gardening, making her own clothes and had a great passion for her dogs along the years. She also had a lot of great adventures with her best friend Doris McBroom and sister-in-law Joanne. Hazel is survived by her husband Art; son John Zotter of Fairfield, WA; brothers Allen Rosenthal (Nancy) of Elk, WA, Iredelle Rosenthal (Joanne, deceased) of Spokane Valley, and James Rosenthal (Helene) of Spokane Valley; granddaughter Amanda Obidowski of Seattle, WA; several nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son David Hoffman. Visitation will be Saturday, January 30th 10-5PM at Heritage and a Graveside Service will be held 2:30PM Monday February 1, 2016 at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave.
