Helen Eileen Laird

March 16, 1949 - August 19, 2018

Helen Eileen Laird Obituary Helen Eileen Laird, 69, of Greenacres, WA passed away on August 19, 2018 in Seattle, WA. Helen was born in Spokane and raised in the Freeman and Valleyford area. She graduated from Freeman High School in 1967 and went on to marry the love of her life on June 3, 1967. Her husband Del was in the military and they were stationed in many cities. In 1980 they were transferred to Pasco, WA where they co-founded the Columbia Basin Division of the Sea Cadets and were very active with the Inland Empire Girl Scouts. After Retirement from the Military in1986, they returned home to the Spokane area, where Helen worked for over 20 years at Halpins in Spokane Valley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Del Laird, her parents, Charles and Marguerite Primmer, and her brother Frank Primmer. She was surrounded by her two daughters, Coleen Hehl and Theresa Laird, along with her oldest grandkids, Dellas, Maria, Ebony, Rachaelynn, Steven, and Kirsten at the time of her passing. She is survived by her granddaughter Layla, two great-granddaughters, Luna and Zelda, her brothers and their spouses, Dan and Donna Primmer, Dennis and Virginia Primmer and Fred and Deona Primmer, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss her spark daily. Services for Helen will be Wednesday, August 29th at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, with viewing starting at 10 am, service at 11. There will be a smal reception with additional viewing directly after. Graveside will be at Pines Cemetery at 2:30pm, 1402 S Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
