Helen Marion Erickson Obituary (Age 97) Helen passed away in Spokane on June 1, 2016. She was born on January 25, 1919 to George and Ethel Fish in Minneapolis, MN. Helen graduated from Lewis and Clark High School with her twin sister Jean. They were known as the �Fish Twins.� Following high school she attended Holy Names College. In 1942 she married Dr. Edgar P. Erickson in Seattle, WA. After WWII they returned to Spokane where they raised their family. Helen was a Deacon at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, a member of Whitworth College Auxiliary and was a C.O.P.S. Southeast volunteer. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, her infant daughter Krista, her twin sister Jean and her brother David �Bud� Fish. She is survived by her children: Paula Verardo, Cara Hannes, Maria DelRiccio and Peter Erickson, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 S. Cheney Spokane Rd, Spokane, WA 99224 at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Behind The Badge Foundation, 22525 S.E. 64th Pl Suite 140, Issaquah, WA 98027 or the charity of your choice.
