Helen V. Diedrich Obituary (Age 86) Helen passed away on December 16, 2015 in Spokane. She was born May 19, 1929 in Priest River, ID. She grew up with her 5 brothers, her sister and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Helen married John Diedrich of Valley, WA on January 22, 1945 in Valley. John passed away on April 4, 2013. Helen and John had 3 girls who married: Anita and Tom Schmidt of Spokane, Helen and Richard Beam of Yakima and Jo and Mike Gallichan of Puyallup. She also was blessed with six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Helen was ?her own person? and was extremely lucky, especially when it came to Bingo. She enjoyed numerous activities including camping, hunting, gambling and just having fun. She was a member of Spokane Police Department, F.O.E. Spokane and the Police Guild. Helen was preceded in death by her husband John, parents Ralph and Viola Marshall and her brothers Gene and George. She is survived by her children: Anita and Tom Schmidt, Helen and Richard Beam, Jo and Mike Gallichan, and her 6 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and her brother-in-law George Diedrich. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen?s name to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S.
