Herman H. Kaiser

Herman H. Kaiser Obituary (Age 90) Herman H. Kaiser passed away December 8, 2018 at home in Spokane, WA. He was born December 19, 1927 in Savage, MT to Walter Kaiser and Judith Herigstad. Herman started school in Savage, MT and graduated high school in Colville in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1950 to November 1952 during which he was stationed in Austria where he met a young shy fraulein, Marianne Stein. A couple months before leaving Austria, they became pen pals. Herman moved back to the USA in April of 1954 and married Marianne in May of 1955 in Coeur d� Alene, ID. He worked for the US Air Force at a radar site from November of 1953 until it closed in July of 1960. After that, he started working at Fairchild Air Force Base from August of 1960 to August of 1983. While working at Fairchild, he joined the Spokane County Sheriff Civil Defense from 1961-1973 as well as the Seabees in 1965. Herman retired from the Air Force in 1989. During his military career, Herman and Marianne raised three boys, Randy, Roger and Ron. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, metal detecting, camping and he was known as a collector of everything. He also held memberships with the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Herman is survived by his wife, Marianne of Spokane, WA; sons, Randy of Deer Park, WA, Roger (Laura) of Rice, WA, and Ron (Lisa) of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren; sisters, Alice (Paul) of Spokane, WA, Doris (Vadis) Davis of Manley, IN, and Darlene Adams of Colville, WA; and brother, Howard (Eileen) Kaiser of Kettle Falls, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Eleanor Faircloth; and his brother, Stanley Kaiser. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 2pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life at Das Stein Haus in Five Mile. � To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Herman, please visit our Tree Store.
