Hilda Florence Leigh Obituary (Age 79) Passed away March 28, 2011. She was born December 9, 1931 in Knowlton, Montana to Charles J. and Grace H. Hobbs, the youngest in a family of seven children. She went to school in Miles City, Montana; graduated from Custer County High School and completed two years of Community College. She married Clinton D. Anson on January 1, 1952. They had two daughters Jackie Marie Anson-Cuddy and Sheila Rae Durkoop. They moved to Spokane in the 1960's where Hilda was a waitress at the Shack Restaurant until her marriage to John Leigh in 1977. She enjoyed spending time with her family above all, but also her many years of golf and bowling as well as time spent at Pend Oreille Lake. Hilda was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and her golf associates known as the Turtles. Hilda is survived by Jackie Anson-Cuddy and Sheila (Dallas) Durkoop, Clint Anson, the father of her children; her sister Beatrice Bott; four grandchildren, Ian Cuddy, Ryan (Rachel) Cuddy, Amber Durkoop, and Tara (Bryan) Ash; and three great grandchildren, Aidan and Grace Cuddy and Charles Ash. She was loved and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by John Leigh. Memorial Service 2:00PM Friday April 1, 2011 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St., Spokane 99223. Memorial contributions to the Second Harvest Food Bank or St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
