Howard Brant Obituary (Age 90) Passed away on March 5, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA. He was born July 26, 1922 in Snyder Township, PA to Tony Howard Brant and Mary Emily Reiner. Howard was married to Doris Virginia McIntyre three months after they met on February 17, 1950. They celebrated their 58th anniversary before Doris died on April 21, 2008. Howard was discharged from the Army in 1945, after serving in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central European Theater. After Howard and Doris were married he moved his family several times during his working career with Bethlehem Steel. The family finally settled down in Spokane, WA in 1968, owning and operating a motel. Howard and Doris traveled as much as they could throughout their life together. They moved to Arizona as snowbirds and decided to stay, coming home to Spokane to visit for the summers. After Doris died, Howard moved back to Spokane to be closer to his family. He is survived by his sons Tony H. (Linda) Brant III, Edward (Susan) Brant, Lloyd (Kathy) Brant; and daughter Melinda Spencer. He has 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Papa will be missed by all of his family and friends, but he is now with his sweetie again. A private family service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
