Howard Melverne Reaves Obituary (Age 96) Passed away November 30, 2017. He was born June 8, 1921 in South Bend, Indiana to Howard E. and Ethel M. (Hewitt) Reaves. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in South Bend. He served in the US Army Air Corps in the American Theatre from 1942-46. He married Lucille Cuzzetto on September 10, 1945 in Spokane. Howard resided in Spokane since 1946 and worked as a warehouseman for the Sperry Division of General Mills and for North Pacific Grain Growers for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers Local 98. Howard is survived by daughters Carrie Sue Adams of Spokane and Julie Newell (Michael) of Davenport, IA; sister-in-law Carol Gunderson of Spokane Valley; grandchildren David L. Adams (Helen) of Spokane, Jennifer M. Adams of Spokane, Elizabeth McKinney (Tony) of Bettendorf, IA, Alexandria Aliaskari (Mehrak) of Fairfax, VA and Christina Newell (Tony Interdonato) of Los Angeles, CA; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lucille; his sisters Eileen Eramo, Judith Weldy, Jane Bowering and Clara Murdock; his brothers-in-law Eugene Cuzzetto and Roy Gunderson. Visitation will be Tuesday 10-5pm and Funeral Service 12:30pm Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
