Howard R. Fleming Obituary (Age 89) Howard Raymond Fleming passed away February 9, 2017 in Spokane, WA. He was born November 23, 1927 in Spokane to Robert and Ruth Fleming. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and business man in Spokane. He enjoyed family, friends, customers, lake homes and trips to Hawaii. He graduated from Frances Willard grade school in the 8th grade in 1942. He was a member of the United States Army, PFC from 1946-1947 and was proud to serve his country. He married Peggy Heger in 1948 and was a member of the Spokane Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. He worked as a painting contractor in the early 50s and then as a plumbing contractor thereafter. Howard is survived by his children, Dave Fleming, Gale Fleming-Griffin; grandchildren, Lane ODell, Pierce Fleming, Taylor Fleming, Hailey Perez and Lauren Fleming; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy J. Fleming on June 9, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
