October 18, 1939 - May 21, 2021

Howard "Red" Riebe Obituary Howard ?Red? Riebe was born in 1939 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Elmer and Ruth Riebe. He graduated from Snohomish High School and later married Norma Williams. Howard lived life on the go whether at work, church, or home. He retired from the Washington State Department of Transportation after 31 years. Retired was a loosely used term, since he always had a project or two in the works. Howard loved God, spending time with his family and friends, singing at church, construction mission trips, volunteering, running, dancing, golfing, and working as a bridge consultant. Howard will be greatly missed by his children, Jon Riebe (Susie), Tami Chase, Jackie Whitson (Rob), and Stephanie Perko, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Three sisters, Pat Karalus, Marlys Sliger, and Wanda Mulfinger, are left behind, and his brother George preceded him in death. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends. Howard joins his beloved wife, Norma, in heaven. God is good. A Celebration of Howard?s life will be held at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., Spokane, WA 99202 on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Music Fund at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church.
