Jack L. Beard Obituary Passed away August 1, 2009 at his home at Fairwood Retirement Center. He was born July 7, 1916 to John and Ida Beard in Long Beach, CA. Moved to Butte, MT and then Miles City, MT. Married his wife of 70 years, Myrla September 2, 1939. He was an auditor for the Burlington Northern Railway. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dorothy Danuser of Lolo, MT and Edna Harkins of Butte, MT. Jack is survived by his wife Myrla Beard at the home; daughter Sandra Croson and husband Gene of Spokane; son John Beard of Wenatchee, WA; granddaughter Kara and three grandsons Bob, Jack and David Franklin; five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two step grandsons and 4 step great grandchildren. Donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane or Family Home Care. At his request no services are planned.
