Jack L. Beck Obituary Jack was born June 16, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK to Mirl and Mildred Beck. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on October 30, 2009. Jack graduated from Rogers High School in 1954 and Spokane Community College in 1968. He worked for 9 years for the State of Washington. He then worked for Spokane County and the City of Spokane as a Draftsman, retiring in 1999. Jack was a self taught, accomplished guitar player. Many wonderful years were spent playing music with his brothers, other family members and friends. Also, many years were spent with family and friends on his acreage in Elk, WA where Jack was nicknamed ?the treepetter?. Later in his life he discovered his greatest joy, grandchildren. Jack loved camping and fishing at Waitts Lake with his kids and grandkids. Survived by his loving wife Marlene, son Jack Beck, Jr. (Mickie), daughter Kelly Dines (Gary), sister Lela Beck, brothers Mirl Beck (Betty) and Curtis Beck (Mary), grandchildren Jillian (Jonathan), Clinton, Michell and Kaylee, great-grandson Jack, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and step-brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by his parents, Mirl and Mildred, step-father Kermit, brother Red and brother-in-law Jim. Memorial Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Internment following at the grave of Jack?s father-in-law George. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Spokane for their wonderful care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Arthur, Spokane, WA 99210.
