Jack Lewis Welch Obituary (Age 86) Jack L. Welch passed away May 26, 2017 in Spokane, WA. He was born on July 17, 1930 in Spokane to Morris and Berniece Welch. Jack graduated from North Central High School in 1948 and went on to serve in the Washington Air National Guard and the US Air Force from 1947-1959. He was stationed in England from 1951-1952. Since 1966, Jack resided north of Newman Lake at his property that he named Hideaway Haven. He was a licensed private pilot and worked in the aircraft industry for six years before spending 32 years in industrial electrical sales and service. In his free time, he liked to work on his computer and study genealogy. Jack was also the fire chief and commissioner for Volunteer Fire District 13 for 12 years. He served as the president of the Eastern Washington Fire Fighters Association for five years. Jack is survived by his daughter, Cher L. Welch; son, Daryl (Debra) Welch; grandchildren, Kyle, Tim, Tara, Dustin (Adrienne) and Tedd; great-grandchild, Zara; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Harold McCall. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at 4:30pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
