January 28, 2018 - January 28, 2018

Jacqueline Joyce (McBride) Jones Obituary (Age 89) Joyce passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Rocky Acres, the homestead shared with her loving husband, John Harms Jones, before his passing in 2015. She was the youngest of three sisters, born in Potlatch, Idaho to William McBride and Beulah (Curtis) McBride. Joyce is survived by six children including Martha Cunningham (Jeff), John JC (Tina), Wendy Jones-Ross, Thomas (Irena), Jeffery (Janus) and Barry. She also leaves behind many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was a strong, proud and compassionate woman. Part of the Greatest Generation, she endured many personal setbacks throughout life, but pushed through them, carrying a song in her heart. She was a choir director and soloist for years and has recorded Christian music on records and tape, and later, sang with Spokanes Day out for the Blind volunteer band. Joyce worked alongside her husband at Jones Radiator, Inc. for many years before deciding to return to school and get a bachelors degree in Psychology, eventually working with families at the Community Mental Health Center, a job where she felt she could make a difference. Joyce, Jackie, Jo, mom, grama and Auntie Joyce, will be missed but has left behind a legacy of love and laughter. Special thanks to nieces Nicole and Jena, Dan, and the many people who watched over and cared for mom, until she passed over the rainbow bridge to be with papa again. Memorial services will be held in April. Please contact Wendy or JC for details. Donations, if desired to: Shriners Hospital of Spokane, Hospice of Spokane, or Day Out for the Blind, 1502 E. Holyoke Ave., Spokane 99217, in Joyces name. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Jacqueline, please visit our Tree Store. Read more Events JAN 28
