Jacqueline Marie Docherty Obituary (Age 55) Jacqueline Docherty passed away on December 26, 2016 at Hospice of Spokane after a long battle with appendiceal cancer. Jacque, a resident of Spokane, was born in Hillingdon, Middlesex, United Kingdom. After spending most of her early years in the U.K., she moved with her family to Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1979. After attending Spokane Falls Community College, Jacque spent most of her career working at Nordstrom Department Store in Seattle and Spokane. She excelled at sports, playing shortstop and coaching young players. She also loved cycling and could often be seen riding around the South Hill with her beloved son, Joshua, in tow. Jacque had a zest for life and she touched many lives with her kindness, acceptance, generosity and humor. She had a special relationship with her niece Kristie Arlington for whom she served as a bridesmaid and who was by her side throughout her illness. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Docherty; father James Docherty; grandparents John and Mary Docherty, and grandmother, Doris Woodhouse. Jacque is survived by her mother, June Docherty; sisters Susan Peters (Pete), Tracey Docherty; brother James Docherty (Dena); numerous nieces (Kristie, Stacey, Casey); nephews (Jonathan, Steven, Nik, Robbie, Ethan) and grandnephews (Spencer, Tyler, Trey, Tanner). A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 30th at 12:00 Oclock at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
