August 27, 1949 - January 30, 2010

James Earl Roloff Obituary (Age 60) Passed away quietly in his sleep early Saturday, January 30, just two months after learning he had bone cancer. Born August 27, 1949, in Spokane, he grew up on a farm in the Marshall-Windsor area, attending local elementary schools and Cheney High School, from which he graduated in 1968. Thereafter he attended Spokane Community College and worked at a variety of jobs. All his life he enjoyed reading and collecting assorted memorabilia, accumulating an extensive library and a prized Coca-Cola collection. A highlight of his life was a cross-country tour of the USA by rail in 1989. Following his older brother and sister, he joined Marshall Community Church, serving in a variety of roles, and in recent years he attended Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church and enjoyed their many functions. Preceded in death by his father, Gus, and sister Sharon McLellan, James is survived by his mother Lolabelle Roloff at the Spokane home they shared, and older brother Ron (Marilyn) of Odessa, TX, and younger siblings Dale and Norman of Spokane and sister Betty Lacrosse of Buckley, WA. Also surviving are maternal uncle Glen (Bernice) Shivley of Walla Walla and paternal aunt Donna Roloff of Spokane, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and lots of friends and acquaintances, all of whom will miss his infectious happy-go-lucky spirit. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 6th at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, with Lidgerwood Pastor Mark Wheeler officiating.
