James "Neil" Peterson Obituary (Age 90) Of Spokane, WA passed away September 29, 2011 in Spokane. He was born October 3, 1920 in Bow, Washington to Albert and Viola Peterson. As a young man he was a Lumberjack in Skagit County and entered the Navy in 1942, serving throughout WWII. Neil came to Spokane in 1954 from Bellingham, WA. He worked for Dodge Smyth Van & Storage and American Van Lines, retiring in 1983. Neil attended the North Side Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Neil is survived by his wife, Marcia at home; sons and daughter in law, Gerald Peterson of Spokane, Tim and Connie Peterson of Boise, ID; and daughter Marla Shelman of Mt Vernon, WA. Also eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 3, at 11 am at Riverside Memorial Park, Spokane.
