James W. Walkling Obituary James W. Walkling, age 84, was born August 19, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to William and Sarah Walkling. He passed away peacefully November 22, 2011 surrounded by his adoring family and with his dog ?Big Bad Puppy,? Sargent by his side. Raised on a cattle ranch in South Dakota and Nebraska, Jim really learned how to work hard. While visiting his Aunt and Uncle in California he met and married the love of his life Vivian L. Ziegler on January 24, 1948. They started their family on the cattle ranch but moved back to southern California to pursue the trade of construction. James and Vivian raised four children, William ?Billy?, Sharon, Cheryl and Bryan. Poor health required an early retirement from construction in southern California. Jim packed up his family and moved to Valleyford/Spokane, WA in 1974. Jim is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Vivian, one daughter Cheryl Didier (Michael), five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and his Beloved Golden Retriever, Sargent. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Sarah Walkling, in-laws Rev. W. O. and Clara Ziegler, son William ?Billy?, daughter Sharon and son Bryan. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 10 am to 5 pm. A celebration of Jim?s life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, Pastors Chuck and Julene Trimborn of Glad Tidings Assembly of God officiating.
