Jamison “Jamie” Schuh was born on Memorial Day, May 26, 1975, in Moses Lake, Washington, to Tom Schuh and Kathy (Lentz) Jones. He passed away on May 4, 2026, in Greenacres, Washington. He grew up in Odessa, Washington, and moved to Spokane in 1986. In 1989, he moved to the Tri-Cities, where he spent his high school years and graduated from Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, Washington.

In 1994, he met the love of his life, Karen. Jamie always loved music and taking things apart and putting them back together. It made sense that he would end up working for audio installation companies, where he could learn to be the best at it. In 1998, Jamie moved to Spokane to join Karen while she attended EWU and earned her degree. Jamie worked hard and, in 2006, opened his own successful audio-video business. Winning accolades in the audio industry across the United States, his business focused on high-end custom installations. Both accomplished their goals and settled in the Spokane Valley.

In 2008, daughter Avery was born and added to their happy household. Then, in 2011, daughter Kelsey was born, and their family was complete. Jamie loved his family intensely and did everything he could to provide for them, protect them, and fill their lives with love and laughter. He loved watching his daughters play soccer and grow into funny, loving, smart, and independent young women.

Jamie was humble, but anyone who knew him respected him, and if you knew him, you became part of the community he built around himself.

Through Karen, Jamie developed a deep love for Alaska. One of his dreams was to own a place there. Jamie and Karen were able to make that dream come true when they found an off-grid home on a small lake in Alaska. Being there gave Jamie peace of mind and a true appreciation for the simple things in life.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Kyle, his maternal grandfather, Victor Lentz, his paternal grandparents, Donald and Corrine Schuh, and his aunts, Dixie and Stacy.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Avery and Kelsey; his father, Tom Schuh; his mother, Kathy (Mike) Jones; his grandmother, Barbara Lentz; his sister, Rochelle (Doug) Brown Jr.; step-siblings, Shawna Jones, Troy Jones, Tanya Kappen, Anthony Rosengrant, Amanda Smith, and Anthony (Ruth) Paszkeicz; and numerous aunts and uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Jamie will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community he built around him. A casual, funny, and loving celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Washington.

I had the good fortune to have Jamie as a friend for the past 9 years. We met on the day that I brought my brand new Porsche to his shop. I had been searching the country for someone who I thought could help me create the best sounding car stereo system in the world. After sharing my vision for about an hour with Jamie (and Mark) at Spokane Audio, I left very impressed by Jamie’s professionalism and his attention to detail. The design idea that I brought to him was definitely “over the top”. Among all of the other equipment, it also involved 4 separate 400 watt per channel amplifiers.

After returning home, I wondered if I had scared…
