Janet Marie Berg Obituary (Age 80) Passed away January 13, 2018, at her home in Spokane. She was the youngest child of Emma Johanna and Jorgen Christiansen. Janets parents moved to Spokane from Norway via North Dakota before she was born. The family lived on a farm outside of town until her father passed away in 1939. The family then moved to the northeast part of Spokane where Janet lived for most of her life. She worked various jobs during her life but was most proud of her career with Burlington Northern Railroad. She spent the last 25 years before she retired in April 2002 at the parkwater yard for Burlington Northern. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to see the trains that she worked on. She is survived by her daughter Susan Quaschnik, son Joseph(Susan) Christiansen, daughter Jerri Cooley, Son John Stevensen and son Gary(Marda) Berg. She has 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her oldest son Edward Quaschnik. She enjoyed spending time with her family, a good game of bingo and being a part of the ladies Sunday pool league at Snoops Saloon.
