Jayne Marie Auld Obituary (Age 65) On the morning of July 25, 2016, Jayne passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Greenacres, Washington. Jayne was born December 3, 1950 in Spokane, Washington. She was the second of 6 children and first daughter born to William (Bill) and Dorothy Miller. Jayne grew up on a farm in North Spokane with her 4 brothers and younger sister; William (Diana), Joan (Gary), Timothy (Suzy), David, and John. When Jayne was 12 years old, her family moved to Missoula, Montana. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Missoula, Jayne attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. On December 19, 1970 Jayne married Shawn Auld and together they had two sons, Jonathan Patrick and Anthony (Tony) Carroll. Jayne and Shawn divorced in 1977, and Jayne soon settled in the Spokane Valley to raise her sons and start a career in the development of low-income housing in the Spokane area. Jayne met Douglas James Loomis playing softball, and in April of 1986 they were lovingly married until the day of her passing. Jayne was an extraordinary mother, wife, daughter and sister who reveled in spending time with her family and friends. She was adored by her 5 grandchildren, Amber, Sydney, Simon, Charley and Oliver. In 2014, Jayne retired as executive director of Spokane Housing Ventures, where she was instrumental in developing a non-profit organization that served the low-income housing needs of the Spokane community. Jayne�s devotion and love for her family, friends and community was expressed daily in the compassion, kindness and respect she provided everyone she encountered. Jayne was an inspiration to those who loved and knew her. Jayne was preceded in death by her father, Bill, brother, David and sister-in-law, Lisa. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, 2 sons and their spouses Grace (Jonathan) and Darla (Tony), 5 grandchildren, her mother, and 4 siblings. A Memorial Service will be held for Jayne at 2pm, August 1st at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a donation to a local charity or non-profit organization.
