February 12, 1928 - June 10, 2014

Jean Elizabeth Haidle Obituary (Age 86) Mom was born on February 12, 1928 in Emerado, ND to Howard and Mamie Brandt. She passed away peacefully on June 10, 2014 in Spokane. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle Kozitka, husband Bill Haidle, her four brothers and her sister. She leaves behind her six children: Bruce Haidle, Gayle (Lynn) Pilant, Connie (Ray) Larson, Judy (Mike) Thew, Mark Haidle, and Alan (Janise) Haidle; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mom graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA and after graduation she went to school to become a teletypist. On June 16, 1963 she married William C. Haidle. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and mentor. She taught us that life is what you make of it and she exemplified that in her own life. She was a very positive role model for all of us. She enjoyed baking, making jewelry and working in her flower garden. Mom adored her kitty Snoopy and also enjoyed as much time as she could with her circle of friends dubbed "The Great Bunch." Mom and dad were adventurous in their motorhome travels and entertained family and friends both at home and at the family lake cabin. We will treasure our memories of our dear mother along with the wisdom, laughter and love that she unconditionally gave to all of us. You will be missed mom. We will be having a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2715 S. Ray St., Spokane, WA 99223. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in mom's name to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Arthur/P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210-2215.
