Jean George-McCann Obituary (Age 87) On December 3, 2010 our much loved mother, grandmother, devoted wife and friend passed away at her home with granddaughter Lisa laying by her side. Jean graduated in Colville in 1941, was married to Del R. George and they built a home in Spokane where they raised two children, Nancy Lee and Del "Bud". Jean loved gardening and her Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs, of which she had many. Jean leaves behind her daughter Nancy Nolan (husband Art); her son Bud George (wife Christi); granddaughters Lisa Ellsworth (husband Tracy Ward), Lori Bryson (husband Major Jeffrey Bryson, US Army), Stephanie Brown (husband John), and Michelle Chalupsky (husband Jan); great-grandchildren Jonathan, Katie, Tyler, Diane, Frank, Cassandra, Dustin and Kyle; along with eight great-great-grandchildren. Her niece Diane Stohler and husband Bob enjoyed many days with Jean gardening and visiting. Diane was with Jean when her husband Floyd McCann passed away at home with his wife by his side in June 2005. Floyd and Jean were married after being friends since childhood. This was a second marriage for both of them. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Heritage Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Floyd at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lilac City Dog Training Club or your local Humane Society.
