Jean Marguerite Slinkard Obituary Jean went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 28, 2012. Born to Jervis and Margaret (Reynolds) Hanke on July 29, 1924, in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School. Jean was a lifetime resident of Spokane. She married John A. Slinkard. She is preceded in death by her husband John, sister Alberta Mullen, brother Robert and son John. She is survived by her sons Ernie (Maureen), William (Sherry), Luther (Linda), and Jim Youngman; daughters Linda (Wally) Walton, and Kathleen (Daniel) Anderson. Jean is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching TV, especially westerns and classic movies. She also enjoyed Big Band music, Neil Sedaka, and the like. She really enjoyed picnics in the park with her family. Jean will be missed forever as dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and Friend. There will be a Graveside Service on Feb. 2nd, 12:00 noon at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Rd. There will also be a memorial picnic in the summer.
