Jeanette Thompson Obituary Jeanette M.L. Thompson Jeanette M. L. Thompson passed away September 16, 2023, in Spokane WA. She was born in Butte, MT on April 26, 1929, to Margaret and Joseph Frazer. She attended Whittier & St. Ann�s Schools & Butte High. She was united in marriage to William G. (Bill) Thompson on January 24, 1948, in Dillion, MT. They resided in Missoula, Butte, Anaconda, Billings and Lewistown. They returned to Butte in 2003 and in 2017 Jeanette moved to Spokane, WA to be closer to family. She was employed by St. James Dietary, worked as a grocery clerk in one of the many �Mom & Pop� grocery stores and Matt�s Drive-in in Butte. Her life vocation was her home and family. Jeanette & Bill had six children, William Joseph (Billie Joe), Agnes, Renee, Kathy, John, and Gordon. Although Jeanette did not pursue higher education, she was a very intelligent woman. She gave sound advice and knew the value of education and encouraged her children to pursue just that. Catholic faith and education were also a priority to her and Bill. She was a self-taught sewer and crocheter. Many friends and family were recipients of crocheted items, clothing, and crafts of her works. She was a wonderful cook and her family was always well fed. Jeanette and Bill loved to travel. They visited Ireland, Nova Scotia, Canada, Hawaii and many western states including many places in Montana. They knew and loved their state very well. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill), her sons William Joseph and John Patrick, a granddaughter Jo Anne, her parents, brother and sister in-law Dick & Diann Frazer, sister in-law, Joan Harris and brother in-law, Robert Harris. Jeanette is survived by her children: Agnes (Pete) Brekhus, Renee (Louis) Dumas, Kathy (Ray) Anderson, Gordon (Susan) Thompson; grandchildren, Monica (Reggie) Anderson, Eric (Cynthia) Brekhus, Matthew Dumas, Megan (Jared) Swanson, Nicole (Joe) Wilson, Amanda Rau, Colleen (Scott) Koterba, Kimberly Anderson, Carrie Belstad, Bill (Kelsey) Thompson, Joe Thompson, Shane Thompson, Britney (Jerome) Cretella. Great-grandchildren: Riley, Emily, Anna, Ella, Mia, Cooper, Hayes, Hattie, Addyson, Jeremiah and James. Nieces: Paula Routh and Tana Van Galder, nephews: Dennis Frazer and Rick Frazer. Jeanette will be laid to rest in Butte, MT. Heritage Funeral in Spokane, WA and Duggan Dolan Mortuary in Butte will oversee funeral arrangements.
