In loving memory of our mother, Jeanine (Montroy) Kiehn (95) passed away peacefully at North Point Village in Spokane, WA, on August 9, 2024. Mom was born June 21, 1929, in Los Angeles, CA, to June (Wright) and Joseph Montroy. Growing up, she loved sports, especially baseball, tap dance, and handball. Mom graduated from North Central HS in 1947. Married Irving Kiehn (deceased) in 1949. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with family, bowling, playing cards, and cribbage. Mom loved planning and planting her flower gardens. She was very talented at crocheting and knitting and enjoyed making gifts for friends and family. We will always treasure these gifts of the heart from her. She was involved in PTA & Girl Scouts as her kids were growing up. Mom worked many years as an office assistant in a local doctor’s office and as a volunteer for Holy Family Hospital. Mom loved the Lord Jesus and greatly enjoyed attending church services at Turning Point Church & the women’s Bible studies. She had one brother, Ralph Montroy (deceased), and left behind four children: Karen (Martin) Sheeran, Marcia (David) Alvarado, Kenneth (Cindi) Kiehn, and Laurie (Louis) Picard. Five grandchildren: Nathan (Erin) Sheeran, Sarah (Ryan) Ratchford, Jeremy Kiehn, Jason (Alena) Kiehn, and Kelsie (Freddy) Arroyo. Two step-grandchildren: Jake and Molly Picard. Ten great-grandchildren: Eva and Averie Ratchford; Josiah Sheeran; Brooklyn, Ava, Scarlett, and Vivienne Arroyo; Raely, Aisley, and Charlie Kiehn. The candy dish was always full at grandma’s house! We will miss you mom. The services for Jeanine will begin with a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Spokane, WA, on August 22, 2024, at 10:30, followed by a memorial service at Heritage Funeral and Crematory.
