Jeff Scott Thomas Jr

April 10, 1990 - May 26, 2023

Jeff Scott Thomas Jr Obituary Jeff Scott Thomas Jr, 33, was taken from us in a tragic motorcycle accident on May 26th, 2023. He was born in Spokane, Washington and given the chance to travel the world as a U.S. sailor, stationed in Connecticut and Washington state. He shared some of his travels with his wife Paula as she moved across the country with him. Before Paula, Jeff spent his time embracing Japanese culture, manga, games, and sword play. He and his brother would do these things together. They also spent a large portion of their earlier lives on their grandfather's farm working, driving, and playing. When Paula entered his life, his hobbies didn't change, so much as they expanded to include cars, motorcycles, and mountain bikes. He found his fit and embraced her. Jeff leaves behind a brother, wife, father, mother, stepdad, and stepmom, of whom he embraced and loved dearly. All of whom molded him into the man he was. He attended the typical schooling, Blake and Ness elementary schools, Centennial Middle School, to West Valley High School where he made a few life long friends, graduating in 2009. Shortly after graduation Jeff left for bootcamp, kickstarting the navy life for him and the navy wife life for Paula. Jeff served in the Navy for thirteen and a half years. He excelled in his navy career, even sometimes begrudgingly, and his awards and achievements show it. During his time on the USS Alexandria Jeff was named Junior Sailor of the Quarter in the first quarter of 2013. He also received two Navy Achievement Awards for his excellent service navigating the ship through challenging conditions, for training the junior quartermasters in the absence of their Assistant Navigator, and for preventing a potentially catastrophic grounding event. During his time in recruiting, Jeff put 37 people in the Navy and mentored a total of 115 sailors who joined through his recruiting station. For his work he received seven Gold Wreath Awards, the Navy Recruiting Command Admirals Warrior Award, and was one of the Chief Recruiters top recruiters in 2017. Jeff found his passions to be his bikes (motorized and not) and his cars. His cars and motorcycles could not remain stock, even though he loved them in their stock forms. They were nothing without him adding his mild but extravagant touches. As we send him off in honors, he leaves the family mentioned above, but also so many more added family members, ones he chose to include in his life, such as his navy family. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Fairmount Memorial Association. Donations will go towards the care of Jeff's resting place and towards various charities supporting Jeff's hometown, Spokane. https://www.unitedwayspokane.org/fairmountmemorial And a special thank you to his fellow riders, first responders, and Christ followers that did everything they could for him in his final moment on this earth.
